Simply Elegant Farms

Welcome!

Home of AMHR's 2006 National Champion Pleasure Driving Stallion Neat-N-Nices Foxfires Apache Fire. We have been breeding show quality Miniature horses for over 20 years. Our farms consist of only Champion pedigree. Our goal is to provide you with the best of the breed. We have 3 locations in the southern United states, Arizona, California and Nevada. Simply Elegant Farms is not just 1 breeder, we are many. Martina, Stalina and Catherine specialize in the bulldog breeds.  Paige in Michigan specializing in rare color french bulldogs. I also have just purchased a blue fawn female and a blue gene carrier and can not wait to see what these little girls are going to produce in late March of 2010!The blue fawns and blue brindles are coming soon! Gina specializes in Yorkshire Terriers and Miniature horses. My sister Theresa specializes in the Shih-Tzu breed. My friend Martina also raises beautiful parrots, look for them coming soon to the website. We all share the same love for the breeds that we choose to call our own. My friends and family members that share the joy of breeding animals like I do, raise their puppies in loving family homes, with lots of love and care. All of our puppies are personally given a stamp of approval by Dr. Butchko prior to leaving our home. They all come with a 1 year health guarantee, 1st set of shots done by Dr. Buthcko and deworming, Akc registration unless stated differently next to the puppies discription and puppy starter kit. Please feel free to call or email us if you have any questions.

We are now offering an animal rescue. I have been hearing a lot about families walking away from their homes and leaving their pets behind. I think this is very sad and I want to offer all of you a place to post your pet for adoption prior to leaving them in a house to starve to death. I will post your dog for free on my website and try my hardest to find he or she a loving home! A few months ago we found an amazing home for Gigi a little Shih-Tzu female.  I am talking to a fellow Miniature Horse breeder that has a Yorkshire Terrier rescue, so if any of you are looking for a Yorkie to rescue, please give me a call and I will get you in contact with her.

Why buy an English Bulldog?

We get this question from time to time, "What makes an English Bulldog better then X". While there's no proof that an English Bulldog is the best breed of dog we tend to believe it is :). Our bias aside here's some strong points about why English Bulldogs are the tops:

  1. Bulldogs are considered a "silent breed". Simply put they don't bark much, which is good for you and good for your neighbors.
  2. Bulldogs love order and cleanliness. Now if only I could teach my kids to be the same way.
  3. English Bulldogs love spending time with family indoors. Nothing is better then snuggling up with your puppy on cold winter days.
  4. Bulldogs are independent, funny, obedient, protective and affectionate. All pluses for a family pet. They have also been known to have a so-called "sixth sense" when it comes to protecting children.
  5. They are even tempered and get along great with other pets especially other bulldogs.

As you can see English Bulldogs make pretty good pets for families or individuals, they strive on order & cleanliness and aren't afraid to love you back. And who are we kidding who can refuse this face?

Meet the Parents

Because puppies are a combination of genes inherited from both of their parents, they will reflect the qualities and temperament of their sire and dam. When visiting a litter of pups, spend time with the dam and observe her behavior with her puppies, the breeder and strangers. The sire should also be observed if on premises. There are a lot of scams on the Internet, and when buying a dog please do not go off a picture alone on dam and sire. Have the breeder show you a copy of pedigree showing ownership. Anyone can take a picture of a dog and say this is sire and this is the dam. Please be careful.

Buyer Beware

One of the major pitfalls buyers run into when buying that new puppy from a breeder is having to put down a non-refundable deposit for their puppy. Never ever do this! The only time you should have to put down a deposit is if your asking the breeder to hold a ready to sell puppy for you.

Be aware that it is illegal for importers to sell imported puppies that are less than 5 months old (4 months outside of California).

Never buy a puppy site unseen as this is just asking for trouble. No two dogs are a like and you need to know what you are getting before putting down your hard earned money.

Ask the breeder what type of warranty they provide and get it in writing.

Be wary of puppy importers, they can usually be seen as always having puppies available and requiring deposits before delivery of the puppy. Importers buy their dogs from overseas resellers who buy up liters of dogs from other breeders sometimes sight unseen.

Research

Don't fall for clean facilities and professional looking websites do some research by typing the breeders name into Google, or another search engine to see what others have to say about them. Pay with a credit card where available so you have the added protection of disputing the charge should the deal go sour.
